Liratide w/ L-Carnitine (Saxenda)
What is Saxenda?
Saxenda contains liraglutide and like semaglutide, helps manage blood sugar levels and regulates appetite. Saxenda causes your stomach to empty more slowly, which helps you feel fuller after eating. Saxenda also helps reduce your appetite.
Saxenda helps you consume fewer calories, which helps you lose weight and keep the weight off.
Where do you inject, and how often?
You’ll receive Saxenda by injection under the skin once each day with a small insulin needle.
Who should not take Saxenda?
- Those that are allergic to shellfish, as Saxenda has L-Carnitine
- Anyone with a history of thyroid cancer
- Individuals with Type 2 diabetes
Will I need to increase dosage eventually?
Like others such as Semaglutide and Mounjaro, dosage will eventually need to go up as your body gets used to the dosage amount. Once you feel you have plateaued in weight loss, you may consider upping the dosage for the following month.
